Creative Process Article
When creating my art, I like to have a process where I am making the most of my inspiration. I try to explore good things in my basement studio, using the resources that I have from my efforts outside and the writing that comes from them, so that I can use them to have a colorful and expansive creative process. My photography and poetry are a pursuit of sophistication and inquiry into the mysteries that I know about. When I work, I am prepared with the wisdom that comes from my intellect and journey with my past accomplishments and the new ideas that attempt to bring my knowing further. With this, and also with new outdoor experiences and photography in Boulder County, I achieve purposeful vision and positive elements for my art.
As an artist, I have a foundation of philosophy and ideas about the world and universe that we live in. I view and think about things that I have written or photographed and try to find new inspiration that would be useful for other people. I celebrate ideas that are in my past art to illuminate my current efforts with joy and beauty from a history of appreciating life and the unfolding cosmos where we find ourselves. When I perceive something new out on a trail I bring it home into my process. I maintain a literacy with my body of work and have positive ways to create new ideas. Elements from the light and good in the world come into my space and I compose new things artistically. My life has great benefits from this experience.
I think that the world is a spectacular place. I learn about, and live through, amazing things with my artistic process. One thing leads to another as the intellectual pieces engender a more expansive journey. Knowledge and illumination interact to become new horizons and beautiful existences. The stars align with inquiry and thinking that unfold with appreciating life and our experience on Earth. My objective mind benefits from inspiring efforts and the wisdom that comes from productive and constructive days and months of artistic progress. Photography and poetry offer an immersion into a cosmos that offers many avenues into a more advanced world view. I strive for this to be fruitful for my life and for others to enjoy.
